Team Del Sol!

We are proud to announce the success of our very first green market!  After lots of planning and preparations, our Del Sol booth came together beautifully! The bakers (my sister and I) were in the commercial kitchen by 3 AM Saturday morning to kick off our baking production. My fiancé and my mom were at the green market before 7 AM setting up the tent and tables and we were all ready for our first customers at 8 AM!!

Happy customer!

We had a selection of croissants, focaccia and sourdough breads, salted caramel brownies and good ol’ fashioned chocolate chip cookies, all freshly baked that morning. Lots of customers came in our booth, tasted our samples and were enjoying our food so much that we almost sold out of everything before noon!

The Boca Raton Green Market has a nice variety of vendors. The local stone crab lady in her truck was right behind us, the imported cheese vendor from France close by, the amazing Peruvian ceviche and fresh juices lady was directly across from us, and our friend and artist Sam from the Clay Cache next door just to name a few.

With this event being our first official gig, we felt a great sense of community at this market. We would like to thank all the new customers, family and friends that came out to support us. A big shout out to Emily who’s been managing this event for the past 20 years for giving us the opportunity to participate!

green-market-tableNow for a little update about our store front. The floors are finally finished and they look beautiful! Plumbing is almost done and the huge sink was delivered today. All the large equipment was delivered and installed, have a couple of smaller pieces coming in next week. Our grand opening has moved out a few weeks due to some electrical issues with the city and permits. So in the mean time we rented a space in a Commercial Kitchen located in East Boca Raton and you can find us at the Boca Green Market every Saturday. Stay tuned to place your order for Thanksgiving!
