Goodbye 2016. Hello New Year!

What a year it’s been!! After two years of planning, searching and taking the leap to become a small business owner,
Del Sol Bakery was born in 2016! In April we finally found a great location in Boynton Beach and signed a lease, in August we were granted all the building permits and construction begun. After a few more loooong months of building and some unplanned delays, we are happy to say all the equipment has been delivered, the walls have been painted, wallpaper installed and even had our Bakery sign installed. By the end of the year we were so close to having a complete store ready to open.

In the midst of all that we got into the Boca Raton Green Market, rented space in a commercial kitchen and in October had our debut at the market. After waking up at 3am every Saturday morning to bake many croissants, breads, cookies and brownies fresh, we sold out at the last 4 markets! We also launched our catering holiday menus and delivered apple pies, many challah breads and a few cakes. Oh yeah I got engaged to my boyfriend of eight years one summer day. It’s been a good year filled with all new experiences. Good bye 2016! Thank you to all our customers, friends and family for all your support, encouragement and always spreading the word.

Hello 2017, we are ready and we will be opening soon!! We are currently waiting for final permits, for our electrical contractor to turn on the electricity and the plumber to finish installation of our 2-deck steam oven. Sounds simple but it may be another month until all inspections are complete, equipment tested and then our Grand Opening! In the meantime, we will continue at the Boca Green Market every Saturday offering a variety of freshly baked goods.
